Caritas Technical secondary school today showcased a diverse cultural performance from the 22 provinces at its annual Cultural show.

The show today saw thousands of proud parents and guardians turn up to witness their children showcased their ethnicity.

Grace Ani, acting school principal says the show is important as it serves as platform for students to be rooted and proud of their cultural identity.

“The main purpose of having the cultural show is to instill values. Instill values in students, the values that have been passed from generations, the cultural values that have been passed from generations, from one generation to the next, so that they still uphold these very important values in life,” Ms Ani said.

Apart from instilling values the show also is to raise funds for the school.

“The Cultural show also assist in that area where parents and guardians get to show their support to the school as a private permitted school in raising funds for projects that are in place in school,” Ms Ani says.

Mr Ani said from funds raised at this years cultural show the school is looking to construct a new classroom to cater for the school for the coming years.

The school is also celebrating its 30 years anniversary witht the cultural show.
